Take the door off by opening it as far as it’ll go, until it snaps. Then it comes right off. Take the screws completely out of the back in the bottom all over the thing. Now, the hood part ought to just come right off. Try to see what’s inside.

But you shouldn’t still trust it. So, don’t mess with them. Keep your hands off of it and set it aside.

So what you should do is put the magnetron and vice versa. It’s really good where you can get to those magnets. Now, you’re going to take the housing off. As you can see, there are tabs that secure the housing together.
So what I suggest doing is to take some channel locks. And put them in the housing and then just pull. Do that all the way around the magnetron casing. On each side, pull those tabs out. Getting out one magnet is quite easy.
But the next one’s a little harder to take out. I’ll tell you what to do is get a screwdriver and just start prying until the screw breaks loose and just this kind of goes all the way around it. Here you go! This little magnet comes out and here you have the two magnets.
